Design Studio 4

With a focus on Flood mitigation and erosion control, Toronto Islands, their tectonic statement, their ecological significance, their performance, and their contextual insertion, formed the core of this 'Comprehensive Studio'. A landscape project from schematic design all the way to detailing, the studio invited students to engage with solving programmatic opportunities and challenges, through spatial thinking and design, while addressing questions of materiality and construction.
