Architectural Design Studio 7: Thesis

For many citizens of late capitalist urbanization, collectivity is not so much an ideological ambition, but rather, a way to survive. This thesis studio investigated unplanned acts of social collaboration: people working together, in sometimes surprising ways, to endure life in the ever more expensive North American megalopolis. Students studied such modes of collectivity and designed new spatial and formal proposals based on their observations.
